The Beginning
Adverse Reality was founded in September 2001 by the core active members
of the clan {BxT}, with the purpose being to create a more professional and active CS clan. Some of
these core/founding members included windowlicker, deusX, jade, devastator, nevermore/wayfaerer, recon,
$ide$wipe, gangsta, and cobalt with the two leaders being elo and rancid. a|2 has played in just about
every major league that has been around since 2001 and has excelled in all of them. a|2 started to
get community attention around CAL season 5 when they made CAL-m playoffs under the leadership of elo and
then again when a|2 made CAL-m season 6 playoffs under the ingame leadership of slick. Up to this point
a|2 can really be considered generation 1 as the core roster stayed consistant and under
the same general leadership. Other members of note that joined during this period that helped a|2 get
to where it did were slick, ghaz, kail, tim finnigan :D, cajun, doS, kaneda, farmsex and rage/aimetti.
Middle
Shortly after the beginning of CAL-m season 7, a|2 disbanned due to conflicts. a|2 was brought back several times by old a|2 members but there was no long term success until deusX brought members of evasion into a|2. Lead by soul, a|2 was once again a contender and the team got moved back up to cal-m after season 9, and eventually made our way to 3rd place cal-p in season 13 and finally to cal-i by season 14. The team consisted of core members soul, kspot, tmass, LoughtoN, JoeMama, spaniard, broodex, tusus, and angeldusted during this period. After season 14 CAL decided to move the bottom half of the cal-i teams down to cal-p and we were demoted back to cal-p, more and more roster problems occurred and the team disbanded in the middle of the following cal-p season 15. After this the team was rebuilt under the leadership of soul again played in cal-p season 16 until going inactive again.
Current
Currently the team is back under the leadership of syphon with elo, kail, and some familiar faces ready for CAL-m season 21 and Cevo-m season 8.
